From the bench
Finished this season.
Most pieces are one of a kind. When one sells, it's gone, and the next one will have its own grain.
How a piece leaves the shop
- 01
Felled & dried
Storm-fallen hardwood from eastern Carolina, air-dried for a year or more before it meets the lathe.
- 02
Turned & forged
Shaped by hand on the lathe or at the anvil. Tool marks are left where they tell the story.
- 03
Signed & dated
Each finished piece is burned or stamped with the maker’s mark and the year it was made.
